sup brotha

well I stayed in Utah until the beginning of July at which time I felt ok about leaving BYU life and starting something new. My brothers Maka and Paul stayed in Utah after a rockin family reunion to drive home with me. I picked them up in Orem from my unlces house and off we went. Well we just went down the road to McDonalds because although I've lived in Provo for the last four years I don't know how to get onto the freeway from Orem. SO... sitting in the parking lot of McDonalds I instruct Maka to go in and ask for directions. He refuses. I ask Paul. He also says no. I demand one of them go in and Maka says "were both men. We can't ask for direction. you go in" Men? this kid is 14 and paul is 17. hah ok I think. It's gonna be a long trip with me and the men. But down the road a few hours I begin to sing and out comes "on top of spageeeeetiiii" ... now at this point my borthers could have told me to shut up or ignored me. I would have expected either and neither would have offended me; however as I began to sing "all covered in Cheese" not just one but both brothers joined in. There we were three kauwe kids bompin down the highway singing about spaghetti. and as we were singing the last little ropes of saddness I still had about leaving Utah disintegrated and I remembered how much fun I have at home. If I were sitting in class or at a ward function and my borthers were there only they wern't my brothers I would want to be their friends. So you can see how convieneint it is for me to have all of them actually be my brothers and live with me:) This past month i've been running with paul, many movies have been rented, delisiouse food eaten. Theres been a couple bike rides, water fights, bon fires, kite flying, smores making, basketball, lots of good meals, and mostly just hang out time. My borthers, and nika, are hilarouse and the older they get the more funnier they get and they all play off each other and the fun factor increases to even greater heights. needless to say I am home and loving it. If you ask me if I wish I had a job I would tell you yes, but the honest truth is that I love this carefree not working chill with my homies life.
also. I went ot canada last week. It was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Southern Alberta is the bom and tiffany is too:)

These Girls are BOM!!!!!

MUST READ!!!

on a scale of one to ten, one being Tiffany's Calculouse book and ten being Harry Potter 4: The Goblet of Fire. HUNGER GAMES is an 11!!! The sequal Catching Fire is equally amazing. There is political turmoil, physical intense action, and a great love triangle. I highly HIGHLY reccomend. There's a 3rd coming out Aug 24 called Mockingjay. You can pre-order it at amazon:)

Take a Hike

This is a rough sketch of what I see when I get out of my car and must go to work. I drive to the parking lot, get out of my car, lock the door, make sure I have my phone in my purse and then turn around to see this. The yellow door at the top of the page is my objective. Right through there is where I work. As the picture shows, there are a couple of different ways to get there. I beleive the conventional way would enclude talking the sidewalk that leads to the stairs and then taking the sidewalk that leads back to the golden door. This way is long, but socially normal. There does however, lie another route. Up through the terrain. So there arn't really any wild predators up this way, but it is steep. like super steep! and it's all bark. Theres some bushes and flowers and a couple tress. BYU landscaping has done a nice job. You will notice that this route provides a striaght line for the gold and is significantly shorter. This is the route I take. It requires me climbing up using all fours. I know it should shame me to climb up this every morning, but everyday when i turn around from my car and take in the situation I just can't pass up the short cut. So up I go each morning. Some people call me the hiker, others just think i'm totally weird, and still yet there are my favorites that admire my hiking abilities. Once I was in a skirt and so I tried not stooping to all fours, but when I stood up i got caught in a tree. Instead of calmly untangling myself i panicked and ripped myself away. I ripped my shirt lol. Not my classiest moment :/ but I have been getting better and quite fast. Today as I was leaving work I was walking out with my friend and co worker Bronson. We exit through the golden door and proceed to our cars. With out thinking I wave him goodbye and begin walking over to the edge of the hill. I roll over the short cement wall at the top and begin my usual hike down. Then it hits me that Bronson and I have of course parked in the same place. And hes surly watching me prance through the bark like a fool and suddenly it becomes very important that I beat him to the parking lot. Fristly so that I don't have to talk to him after he's seen me be rediculouse, but mostly so I can show him how much faster my way is and how what i am doing has a valuable and stategic quality. So I pick up my pace, but it was to much and I totally fall, and get kinda stuck in the tree agina. I Get back up and to make up for that lost time i'm practically surfing down the hill through the soft bark. I get to the sidewalk at the bottom. my shoes are full of dirt, bark is all over my pants and there may have been a couple twigs in my hair, but bronson hasn't even made it to the stairs. "Thats right fool!" I think as I rustle the leaves from my hair and walk superiorly to my car.

one step at a time

Well I'm on my lunch break, and Ive been meaning to be healthier. Rugby is over, which means no more can I eat what I want and lose weight and no more will I be forced to excersize, and no more will there be an excersize available that I love with all my heart :( nevertheless, I am determined to stay healthy!! how? the hard, but only effective way. Diet and excersize. Which for me translates into not eating taco bell for every meal and running... yes I know I hate running... but running/ working out a lot. and regularly. so for lunch I decided a bagel would be healthy and maybe a fruit of some sort or a string cheese. but as I was walking over to the food court I passed a group of boys eating taco bell. I love taco bell. It's been my food fad for the last few months. Lst year was taquitos from seven eleven this year is a fresa bean burito and cheesy fiesta potatoes from taco bell. I immediatly cut the bagel and decided I'd start eating better tomorrow. Pathetic I know, but wait, I find a little bit of dicipline. As I get to taco bell I begin to talk myslef out of it. I begin to think about other choices that I also enjoy and that would be better for me. But the bean burrito was pretty persistent and it's just some protein in a tortilla right? It's not like I'm eating a greasy burger. So I got the burito. The cheesy fiesta potatoes in all their sour cream and fake cheese glory were harder to rationalize though. I knew I had to cut them, but as I pondered what to replace it with and stood looking at a shelf of apples and oranges and bananas I just couldn't do it. Well, I gave up the potatoes, but I wasn't ready to replace them with an apple just yet. I got the frozen yogurt, not to be confused with soft serve ice cream. yogurt. healthy. delicious. frozen yogurt. so I figure not a bad start. better than the norm, but room for improvement. :) but don't get to comfortable on that shelf my little apple friend. i'll be ready for you by next week!!!

24 hrs= 1 day

sometimes days are good and sometimes they are bad. Sometimes they are horrible and unbareable, but they always keep on going. Life keeps on going. you never know or can predict what will happen, but you know that the metronomic pattern will keep going at it's steady pace never pasuing or getting thrown off beat.

prompt:write a proposal for your final project. Include what technology you're using and explain how the students are active participants and not just observers. You don't need to comment on someone else's blog this week.

My final project will use sketchup. This is a software program that allows students to create 3d models on the computer. I will assign students to create a model of the living quarters of one of the following: an indentured servant living in Jamestown, a wealthy gentleman in Jamestown, an Native American shelter, and a family living in the Massachusetts Bay colony. After creating the models the students will be placed in groups with each different model being represented and will present their work to each other.
